We are delighted to announce that both Mairead and Lisa will be involved in the upcoming movie Tinkerbell and the lost treaure. Mairead was the featured celtic violinist in the last movie and again will feature in the new one and now Lisa will be the main vocalist on the new theme song. We're thrilled for both the girls.

“It was an absolute dream come true to work with all of the Disney team on this unique and beautiful song. It made it even more special to work with my dear friend and talented colleague, Máiréad Nesbitt. I am so excited for you all to hear it later in the year!”

Máiréad is delighted once again to announce that she is the Celtic Violin Soloist on the beautiful and inspired score composed by Joel McNeely for the new Disney Pictures movie Tinker Bell The Lost Treasure. Máiréad is so delighted that Lisa Kelly is the main Vocal soloist on the title song of the movie 'If You Believe'. It was such an amazing experience to record such beautiful music and to work again with the amazing composer Joel McNeely. It has doubled my delight to work with my close friend and colleague Lisa Kelly from Celtic Woman who has recorded the main title song of the movie 'If You Believe'. It's such a beautiful song and I loved playing to Lisa's wonderful vocal. It is another dream come true for me to be involved in such a magical movie.'

Celtic Woman Isle of Hope had it's official opening night on February 13th in St Paul, Minnesota in the Xcel Arena. After months of hard work and preparation, The new show was finally unveiled and Audience members seemed to appreciate the new songs like 'Fields of Gold' ' True Colours' as well as original songs written for the show by David Downes and  Brendan Graham.

David was on site for the new show, along with Chloe, Lisa, Lynn, Mairead and Alex, all wearing fabulous new gowns by designer Synan O' Mahony, and the Celtic Woman band and Aontas Choir.

Once the show got underway, nerves were pushed away by the excitement of bringing this new show to North America. Every department of the show welcomed the challenge of  making this show the best it could be, so we hope you enjoy the efforts put in by Composer David Downes  and the Girls as vocalists, as well as musicians, choir, sound, lights and choreography.

We look forward to bringing this show to you.

We would like to announce that Orla has decided to take a full time break from touring with Celtic Woman to spend time with her family and to focus on recording a new solo album; therefore, Orla will not appear in our Isle of Hope Tour in 2009.  We are very excited to announce our wonderful Celtic Woman,  Alex Sharpe, will be touring full time with the group.  At this time, we would like to thank Orla for her contribution to Celtic Woman over the last four years. We know Orla will be missed by Celtic Woman fans as much as she will be missed by us. We wish her every success in her solo pursuits, and we look forward to working with Orla in the future.

Celtic Woman at the Laureus Sports Awards
The very prestigious Laureus Sports Awards, which are bestowed upon the World Olympics's most exceptional athletes, are being held in Bejing and they have requested Celtic Woman to perform!

The awards will be held on November 21st at the Century Theatre in Beijing and wil be broadcast by China's 2nd largest TV station, Hu Nan TV.

Synan O'Mahony wins Designer of the Year Award

Celtic Woman would like to say a big congratulations to Synan O'Mahony who recently picked up an award for Ireland's Designer of the Year. Hailing from Co. Limerick, Synan is one of Ireland's leading designers and is adored by celebrities and supermodels both here & abroad. The extremely modest designer is also the one responsible for creating the fabulous dresses for each of the girls of Celtic Woman. Well done Synan, you deserve it!!

Celtic Woman headlined the Mrs Dash Skate for the Heart Show in Mohegan Sun Resort and Casino, Conneticut in a live show recorded last Saturday, 27th October for NBC Television.  

The show showcased the spectacular talents of Olympic gold & silver medalists and World dance champion ice skaters, including US Champion Todd Eldredge, Olympic silver medalist Brian Orser, US Champion Rudy Galindo, six time Canadian champion Jennifer Robinson and many more.  

Every single skater who performed on the night had a very personal connection to the cause, which was to raise Heart Disease awareness throughout the USA.

We all have a direct or indirect connection with Heart Disease and as Chloe quoted in an interview for NBC Television “I am performing here tonight because I want to represent all of the youth, that at 18 this disease does not just affect the elderly or those who have lifestyle related onset. It can happen to anyone at anytime and it is important to be heart aware so that we can start ata  young age leading a healthy and happy life”

Celtic Woman were fortunate to have the opportunity earlier this year to have performed on the Brian Boitano Skating Spectacular. At this time they were overwhelmed at the amazing chemistry and unique magic that was created when the Celtic Woman music and the beauty, grace and energy of the skating combined.

Therefore when they were asked to star in Mrs. Dash’s Skate for the Heart show, they jumped at the chance to create this magic all over. Talking with Lisa on the night, she told us, “It was an honour to be asked to perform in Skate for the Heart. Heart disease effects so many people worldwide and we really should all be so much more heart aware. Everyone performing on the night came together to support this very worthy cause.”

If you were not one of the lucky people to have been in Mohegan Sun Resort and Casino in Connecticut on the night of 27th October, 2007 for the taping for NBC, do not worry.. This amazing and unmissable show will be airing on January 13th 2008 on NBC between 4pm – 6pm EST. Put that date and time in your diaries because you do not want to miss out on sharing with us this magical show that is so close to our heart.

Lisa's Exciting News...


'Hi everyone.

I have some very exciting news that I wanted to share with you all.

I am expecting a new baby in March!

I am continuing to tour the US and Japan until Christmas but will take a rest early on next year. I hope to see you all at some stage on the Spring tour 08.

While this is a really exciting time for me, I'll really miss being on the tour with my work family.

Chloe, Orla, Mairead and Lynn are thrilled at the prospect of being aunties again.

In the meantime, thank you so much for all your love and support.

I hope to work on my new CD while I relax, if time permits!!!!!.

Celtic Woman are thrilled for Lisa and her family and wish them all much love and happiness. We will all will miss her dearly during her leave but we know you're all going to be very excited about our new Celtic Woman whom we'll be announcing very shortly

Early this morning all 5 girls boarded an American Airlines flight back to America, to start their Fall tour. Well rested and revived, Chloe, Orla, Lisa and Mairead, are ready to introduce new Celtic Woman Lynn to life on the road. Having rehearsed together, before setting out on tour, the girls have all gotten a chance to get re- acquainted and are looking forward to hitting the highways of America to reach their fans.

The Spring tour ended in June, and the cast of Celtic Woman, almost immediately went into rehearsals for 'A Christmas Celebration' DVD shoot, which finished in July. After this the girls were able to relax at home and catch up with friends and family. For Lynn however, summer was more of a whirlwind as she came to terms with her new role.

The girls are very much looking forward to performing on stage again, and sharing their music. Before the tour starts on Wednesday, the girls have final rehearsals, and staging to go over their moves, as well as an informal private show in San Diego to do before meeting their beloved audience. With 6 weeks in the US, before embarking a Japanese tour, the girls are excited to be covering new territory, and meeting more fans this time around.

Platinum-selling supergroup Celtic Woman have hit #4 on The Billboard 200 with the debut of their latest album "A New Journey", their highest chart position to date.

This includes: 95 straight weeks with the #1 album on the Billboard World Music chartm, and Platinum status for their self-titled debut CD and DVD

For the Public Broadcasting Stations two specials have been recording featuring the group. To date both PBS specials aired in the U.S. have been played 1000 times on over 90% of the PBS stations.

"Their third CD, A New Journey, entering at #4 proves that there is a healthy demand for adult music in today's marketplace.
